Had a blast shooting my friend Vincent’s event at Castle Fitzjohns. Watching the TV crew that huddled around Michael Alig was surreal but that’s how it rolls at the Castle.

Inside / Out is an outsiders perspective from the inside by Michael Alig . A three part Pop-Hop solo exhibition.

Former king of the club kids Michael Alig curated a selection of his paintings at two LES galleries. A lifelong artist, Michael Alig created a world where performance art is indistinguishable from real life.

Opening Reception was at Castle Fitzjohns Gallery - 7pm-10pm on June 25th 2015

Was such great weather and everyone was out at Bushwick Open Studio (BOS) 2015. 

Met and chatted with a few artists who’s work I really like. 

Chis Klapper’s [ http://chrisklapper.com ] and Patrick Gallagher’s [ http://patrickgallagher.nyc ] Installation is something work investigating.

Had great conversation with Christina Graham [ http://christinagraham.net ] about her Paintings and experience at RISDI.

Of course I was mesmerized by Carol Salmanson’s [ http://carolsalmanson.com ] LED sculptures. You shoudl have one on your wall.

Large textured wall pieces by  Seren Morey [ http://serenmorey.com ] begs you to run your hands over the textured works. 

And many more I fail to mention but was impressed. Too bad I did not get to see all the open studios  but hope to be in it next year.

Off to another day in life…

Saturday evening May 16th 2015, and I found myself once again immersed in a sea of people packed into Castle FitzJohns, but this time as the dedicated show photographer. My buddy Vincent - owner of the CastleFJ needed a photographer for the event and asked me, so I had to step in to and help out. That evening a met a few interesting people including Norman Reedus #normanreedus. And meet I meant saying hi, shook his hand, took his picture(s) and asked him to pose with others who were too shy to ask. He had some of his large photographic pieces at the Gallery.. They shoudl be up for the next month. Really easygoing and charismatic guy. I can see why so many like him. 

Rosario Dawson also came by but did not get to say hi but there are a few pics of her enjoying herself and chatting with others.
